1. Pay all monthly housing charges on time.
2. Meet all other financial obligations to the Co-op.
3. Secure adequate liability and personal property insurance as per insurance requirements of the Co-op.
4. Maintain one’s unit in a condition, which meets the standards of the Co-op as set out in the Maintenance Policy.
5. Co-operate with all routine and special unit maintenance procedures of the Co-op (e.g. inspections, repairs, renovations, redecoration, etc.).
6. Be considerate of neighbours.
7. Respect Co-op property.
8. Adhere to all Co-op regulations (e.g. Bylaws, policies, procedures, etc.).
9. Attend all general, annual and special Membership Meetings of the Co-op unless prohibited from doing so because of illness, work or legitimate family commitments.
10. Inform the Co-op Chairperson, as far in advance as possible, if unable to attend any of the Membership Meetings mentioned in (9).
11. On a regular basis, contribute to the operation of the Co-op (e.g. as a member of the Co-op Board or on a Committee or be a resource person, assist with routine maintenance, distribute Co-op mail, offer babysitting services).
12. Participate in special Co-op projects as required (e.g. spring clean-up, fund-raising, etc.).
13. Report any damage or required maintenance to the Maintenance Committee immediately.
14. Ensure basements are not used for sleeping quarters.
15. Members of Rainbow Housing Co-operative will be held accountable for any, and all guests, and their guests’ pets, this includes the way they conduct themselves and how they treat other Members. (Added GM June 28, 2006)
Failure to fulfil any of the above requirements without just cause may be grounds for termination of Membership as per the Bylaws of the Co-op.
